Victories and Defeats in the Land of Dog Training

First things first, my husband is quite possibly a dog whisperer. It's creepy how good he is at training. And then there is me.... I try to coddle Judah and force him to snuggle with me as often as possible. Apparently, all that whispering has resulted in Judah leaving me on the couch and following Jer around. Absolutely a blow to my puppy-love.

Dog training is going pretty well. Some victories include tricks (leave it, sit, down, come) and potty training. Some defeats include potty training and his love of chewing. It'll come with time and consistent training though!

We have been consulting two main celebrity trainers in our quest for a good canine citizen: Caesar Millan & Victoria Stilwell. It's been a rewarding journey so far, and there is always room to learn!

The Latest Addition

We are proud to announce the newest addition to our family:

Judah, a black lab baby boy full of smiles, naps, and mischief.

We met him on our first wedding anniversary and picked him up the next day to make our family one 'person' better. We are currently potty & crate training, it feels like we have a real baby!! It's been fun though and we are excited to watch him grow into a beautiful beast! He comes from a great hunting dog family and his poppa wants to continue that - shocking, I know. He is already a good fetcher :)
